Exim E-Commerce Return Policy

  1. General

This Return Policy applies to all purchases made through Exim’s e-commerce platform (“Platform”).
By placing an order, the customer agrees to the terms set out below.

Exim reserves the right to update or amend this policy at any time without prior notice. The policy in force at the time of purchase shall apply.

 

  1. Eligibility for Returns

Returns may be considered only if all the following conditions are met:

  • The return request is submitted within 7 calendar days from the date of delivery
  • The item is unused, uninstalled, and in original condition
  • The item is returned in its original packaging, including labels, certificates, and documentation
  • Proof of purchase (order number / invoice) is provided

All returns are subject to Exim’s evaluation and approval.

  1. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return or refund, unless otherwise agreed in writing by Exim:

  • Customized, made-to-order, or non-standard items
  • Items manufactured or supplied to customer drawings or specifications
  • Electrical, electronic, or ESD-sensitive components once packaging has been opened
  • Items sold as clearance, promotion, or “as-is”
  • Items explicitly stated as non-returnable at the time of purchase
  1. Incorrect or Damaged Items

If the customer receives:

  • An incorrect item, or
  • An item that is damaged upon delivery

The customer must notify Exim within 3 calendar days of receipt, together with clear photographs and a description of the issue.

Failure to notify within this timeframe may result in the claim being rejected.

  1. Quality or Technical Claims

For returns related to quality, performance, or technical concerns:

  • Exim reserves the right to inspect, test, or verify the returned item
  • Items found to be within specification will not be accepted as returns
  • Any acceptance of return or replacement is at Exim’s sole discretion and may involve the manufacturer or supplier
  1. Return Process

To request a return, customers must:

  1. Submit a return request via the Platform or contact Exim with the order details
  2. Await written confirmation and return instructions from Exim
  3. Return the item strictly according to the provided instructions

Unauthorized returns will not be accepted.

  1. Shipping & Handling Costs
  • Return shipping costs are borne by the customer unless the return is due to Exim’s error
  • Original shipping, handling, duties, and taxes are non-refundable
  • Exim is not responsible for items lost or damaged during return shipment
  1. Refunds & Credits

If a return is approved:

  • Refunds may be issued as:
    • A refund to the original payment method, or
    • A store credit, at Exim’s discretion
  • Refunds will be processed only after inspection and acceptance of the returned item
  • Processing time may take up to 14 business days
  1. Order Cancellations
  • Orders for standard stocked items may be cancelled before shipment, subject to Exim’s confirmation
  • Orders for customized or non-standard items cannot be cancelled once confirmed
  1. Limitation of Liability

Exim shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential losses
  • Production downtime, loss of profit, or business interruption arising from the use of products purchased via the Platform
  1. Governing Law

This Return Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict of law principles.
